Update W3 Total Cache Safely
- Confirm the installed W3 Total Cache version in the WordPress Plugins screen or through the approved managed-host workflow.
- Review your normal maintenance and recovery plan before changing a cache plugin. Do not create or alter a backup schedule solely for this update.
- Update W3 Total Cache to 2.10.5 or later from the normal WordPress update workflow.
- Keep WordPress core, PHP, the active theme, and related performance extensions current as part of routine maintenance.
Verify the Site After Updating
- Confirm the installed version is 2.10.5 or later.
- Clear only the relevant approved site cache, then check representative public pages while signed out.
